Job Descriptions for Clingi
1. Software Engineer
Location: Accra (Hybrid or Remote)
About the Role:
As a Software Engineer at Clingi, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our web and mobile platform. You will work closely with product managers and designers to build scalable, secure, and user-friendly features that empower users to buy and sell with ease.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, test, and deploy new features and enhancements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and refine requirements.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
• Identify and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks.
• Ensure platform security, scalability, and responsiveness.
• Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing sessions. Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript (React, Node.js), Python, or PHP.
• Experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or similar).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with version control tools like Git.
Nice to Have:
• Knowledge of mobile app development (React Native, Flutter).

2. Customer Support Specialist
Location: Accra
About the Role:
As a Customer Support Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for Clingi users, helping to resolve their inquiries and ensure a smooth buying and selling experience. You’ll handle customer requests via chat, email, and phone, and maintain a positive, helpful attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
• Respond promptly and professionally to user inquiries.
• Assist with account setup, product listings, payments, refunds, and disputes.
• Document and escalate complex issues to relevant teams.
• Maintain detailed records of interactions and resolutions.
• Update and improve knowledge base and FAQ materials.
• Identify common issues and suggest improvements to processes. Qualifications:
• High school diploma or higher; relevant customer service certification is a plus.• Excellent communication skills in English; local languages a bonus.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple inquiries simultaneously.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with CRM tools.
3. Marketing Coordinator
Location: Accra or Remote
About the Role:
The Marketing Coordinator will drive awareness and user growth for Clingi through digital marketing campaigns, social media engagement, and content creation. You will work closely with the marketing team to plan and execute promotional activities that resonate with our target audience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, create, and manage digital marketing campaigns across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Google Ads).
• Develop engaging content including graphics, blog posts, and videos.
• Monitor and report on campaign performance using analytics tools.
• Coordinate influencer partnerships and affiliate marketing efforts.
• Manage social media accounts and interact with followers.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
• Proven experience in digital marketing or social media management.
• Strong copywriting and content creation skills.
• Familiarity with marketing tools like Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, and Canva.
